I tried to make bread. It broke. And I can't buy another one without going over my allowance.
So I cooked up a plan.
My mother has been asking me to bring a rice cooker over from Korea so she can make her beloved brown rice. I asked her if it is okay if I bought it four months earlier and borrowed it for a while. I'm sure she knows what's up, but she agreed. I can hear her smiling through the phone at my desperate/clever plan.
I'm sure in a twisted way she's proud of me. They're always telling me to find creative ways to save money because apparently, I spend waaayyyy too much. "Like a non-Chinese."
